The Celestial Cosmodrome
Out of sheer desperation, the Chronium Conclave of mages had send a request for an adventuring party to help out with a minor issue regarding a minor malfunctioning construction. The advertisement was an open call to any adept fighters, spellcasters, and artificers. Curious what a fighter could be of use for a bunch of mages and their arcane machinery, you decided to check it out.
As it turns out, their ‘minor malfunction’ is tearing apart at reality, creating rifts to other planes of existence which seem far less pleasant than your world. Their terrifying inhabitants are gleefully passing through.
“Just defend the repair crew and we’ll all be fine”, the mages said. The payment is fantastic, but as a fifteen feet, eight eyed, purple cosmic serpent slithers through the cracks, you start to wonder if this assignment is perhaps above your paygrade.
